Fundraising may be by phone, mail, in person, or even with just a "donate" button on your organization's website. Regardless of the method, however, nonprofits that don't comply with government requirements run the risk of losing their tax exempt status and various other penalties as well. Your donors, obviously, assume that you're in compliance with fundraising requirements, but these can differ from state to state. Nevertheless the responsibility is on the nonprofit to make sure they are satisfying all of the requirements. Sometimes this may not be as simple as it sounds.

Please join Jennifer L. Urban as she takes a detailed look at charity fundraising and provide tips and traps to help your organization understand critical solicitation reporting and disclosure requirements. Regardless of whether you have a staff fundraiser or hire an outside Professional Fundraiser, this is a “can’t miss” program! Gain the practical knowledge you need to properly raise funds and avoid compliance landmines.
