Your conference leader for “Employee Substance Abuse and Alcoholism: Navigating the Legal Labyrinth” is Brian P. Goodman. Brian is a member of Boardman and Clark LLP’s school law and labor and employment practice groups. Prior to attending the University of Wisconsin Law School, Brian earned his B.M. in music education and jazz studies, his M.S. in educational leadership from Northern Illinois University, and worked as a music teacher. He uses his experience as an educator to assist school districts and employers on a wide range of legal issues. Brian particularly enjoys combining his experience as an educator and a lawyer to give presentations on legal issues facing employers and school districts. He has spoken on issues such as employee concerted activity, wage and hour law, and special education. He is admitted to practice before the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
