Who Should Attend? HR, executive directors, staff
Substance abuse and alcoholism provide a myriad of challenging legal dilemmas for HR professionals. Employees dealing with these issues are more common than you think, and the effects can surface in many different ways such as attendance, job performance, employee relations, and others. Failing to understand the law in these areas could result in lawsuits, damage to workplace morale, and the loss of otherwise good employees who needed accommodation. Following the “lifecycle” of a single hypothetical employee struggling with substance abuse issues and alcoholism, this webinar analyzes the challenging legal issues presented at each crucial stage of employment and provides key strategies for navigating safely through the legal labyrinth surrounding these issues.
Please join Brian P. Goodman as he covers issues you need to understand when dealing with employee substance abuse and alcoholism at the hiring stage, the performance issues stage, and finally the termination stage of employment.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

- Learn when and how you can test applicants and employees for drug or alcohol use
