We’ve all gotten hit over the head with the imperative to “be strategic,” but what do we mean when we talk about a strategic approach to change? How is it different from the strategic planning process so many organizations engage in? Why is strategic thinking a nonprofit’s essential nutrient, while the outcome of strategic planning often amounts to empty calories?

Strategic thinking is a practice, like regular exercise, and in effective organizations, it goes on all the time. In the nonprofit world, boards change, resources fluctuate, and the needs of the community shift in response to internal and external pressures. Only a resilient organization can gracefully engage with change, and resilience originates with leadership that is committed to strategic thinking. How your organization manages change will be its triumph or its downfall.

Please join John Heymann, CEO of NewLevel Group, for a webinar that will help leaders of nonprofit organizations think, plan, and act strategically to successfully manage change in all facets of your organization. You will learn practical tips and tools for setting priorities, developing clarity of direction, and aligning action to make the most of scarce resources.
